Bemidji State Business Club
ABOUT
In cooperation with local businesses and BSU staff and faculty, the Bemidji State University Business Club is a student organization welcoming all students majoring in and/or interested in business. Members engage in events and activities to demonstrate and develop their business acumen, while simultaneously building their professional network and resume, providing them a competitive edge upon entering the working world of business.
Futhermore, "It is the Bemidji State University Business Club's mission to bring its members closer to the leader they are aspiring to be, because it is our business to aspire, create, and engage the business in you. We want to engage our members in leadership roles, projects, and to bring members' talents to the table to reach a common goal. We want to create a network for business students or students interested in business to become exposed to real life situations and know what it means to be in business."

Meet Our Officers
Matthew Splittstoser
President
Hi, I'm Matt! Last semester I transferred to BSU as a junior from the Cambridge Campus of Anoka-Ramsey Community College, about 20 minutes west of the small town where I'm from, Harris. I'm majoring in Business Administration with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship/Small Business Management. When I'm not doing schoolwork, volunteering my time as an Upward Bound Mentor, or participating in Students for the Environment and The Phoenix, I'm traveling, hiking, camping, reading or watch crappy TV. I'm honored to be appointed the new Vice President of the Business Club, and will do my part to make it a fun and useful experience for its members!

Thor Torgerud, Vice President of Business Club. I am a senior majoring in Business Administration with an Emphasis in Finance. I am also the President of the Society of Human Resources Management and a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity. I’m from Saint Paul, MN and enjoy hiking, canoeing, fishing and bicycling in my free time.

Kayla Campobasso is currently a junior at Bemidji State University. Her major is Business Administra-tion with emphases in Management and Finance, and a minor in Management Information Systems. Campobasso is the Chief Marketing officer for Business Club and has made the Dean’s List every se-mester. She is from St. Paul, Minnesota.

Emily Kirscht, Networking Liaison of Business Club. I am a junior from Elk River, MN. My major is Business Administration with an emphasis in small business management and entrepreneurship and a minor in Spanish. I work as the assistant residence hall director for pine and cedar hall.

Erikka B, Treasurer of Business Club. I am a junior majoring in Spanish and Business Administration with an emphasis in finance, as well as a minor in economics. I am treasurer of the business club along with being a member of the human resources club and play intramural soccer. I’m from Forest Lake Minnesota and love everything that has to do with being outdoors. I can’t wait for what this year will bring!

Godwin Ofurum, Newsletter Editor of Business Club. I am a Business Administration candidate with emphases in Marketing and Management/Small Business, and a minor in Psychology. I am from Nigeria, although I grew up in Amman, Jordan before getting an academic sponsorship after Senior High School in Nigeria to study at Bemidji State University in the United States. I am a Stu-dent Senator, Orientation Leader for freshmen, a member of Student Nurse Association (S.N.A), Young Life College, Life Style Educators and the Newsletter Editor for Business Club. I love the out-doors, soccer, going to the movies, sports, medical terminologies and embracing change.
